摘要

London—There seems to be no end to Shell’s troubles in Nigeria as two of its crude oil pipelines in the south of the country were closed November 9 following unspecified “incidents.” The continued problems come as Shell completes a two-year divestment program of onshore blocks in the Niger Delta, aimed at streamlining its Nigerian business. Shell has been hit hard in Nigeria by years of attacks on oil infrastructure, and has also been accused of failing to clean up swathes of the Delta polluted by spills from sabotaged oil lines.
