Kogas says no shortages despite cut in LNG imports

Seoul-State-run Korea Gas Corporation said February 16 it has ample LNG stocks and its plan to cut 2012 LNG import volumes slightly from 2011 is not going to lead to any short- ages in the country. Kogas earlier this week said it planned to import 36.46 million mt of LNG in 2012, slightly lower than 36.72 million mt imported in 2011. This marks the first drop in its annu- al LNG imports since 2009 when it bought 25.82 million mt, down 5.3% from 2008.
