Gasoline to near $4/gal in May, June: EIA

Washington—The national average for USretail gasoline prices is expected to approachbut stay ever-so-slightly below $4/gal in Mayand June, the Energy Information Administra-tion said March 6.EIA upped its estimate for 2012 averagegasoline prices by 7% to $3.79/gal in its latestShort-Term Energy Outlook. It also raised itssecond-quarter forecast by 9% to $3.93/gal.
