US Weekly Oil Output Falls to 9.096 million b/d

US crude oil production fell to 9.096 million barrels per day in the week ended Oct. 9 from 9.172 million b/d the previous week, according to the Energy Information Administration (EIA). The latest drop more or less canceled out an upward movement of the same magnitude in the previous week. Nevertheless, the EIA's weekly numbers show that US production has declined from a high of around 9.6 million b/d in the summer.
