Eni Confirms Mozambique Gas Field Extension

Eni said on Thursday that it struck an 80 foot thick gas column while drilling its Agulha 2 appraisal well in Area 4 offshore Mozambique, confirming a southern extension of the field. The Italian major is now considering whether to carry out further exploration drilling in the southern part of license Area 4 where total resources are estimated at 85 Tcf of gas in place.
