Faroe Petroleum has an active drilling programme planned for 2015, with four wells due to be drilled in the company’s core areas offshore Norway. Faroe (20%) will be a partner in Total’s Shango exploration well located in the Norwegian North Sea on the northern part of the prolific Utsira High. The well will be drilled using the Leif Eiriksson drilling rig. It is expected to spud in the first half of 2015 and will target a large undrilled Jurassic structure with estimated unrisked prospective resources of 30m-110m boe (gross).
