China's refining crude throughput for the first two months of 2015 rose by 3.5% from last year to 10.27 million b/d, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics. Refining throughput for January and February, combined due to the distortionary effects of the Chinese New Year, was down compared to the record - high runs of 10.54 million b/d in December ( IOD Jan.21'15 ). But the dip is likely due partly to the entire country shutting down for at least a week in late February.
