Eni, GDF Suez Ring the Changes

Gas-heavy groups Eni and GDF Suez have rolled out senior management changes. Eni's annual general meeting on Thursday confirmed the nomination of Giuseppe Recchi as new chairman, replacing Roberto Poli, who has retired after nine years in the job. It retained Paolo Scaroni as chief executive and confirmed seven other directors in their posts. Recchi currently heads US giant General Electric in southern Europe, is vicechairman of its bank affiliate, Interbanca, and sits on the European advisory board of private equity fund Blackstone.
