Petronas Eyes Sabah LNG Plant

Malaysia's state Petronas is planning to build an LNG import terminal and gas-fired power plant on the east coast of Sabah state, a company spokesman told International Oil Daily on Monday. The terminal will feed gas to a 300 MW power plant to be built nearby, with LNG supplies coming from various sources. The facilities will cost a combined 2.2 billion ringgit ($738 million) and are expected to be completed in 2015.
