Shtokman Stays on Track

A final estimate of capital spending at the giant Barents Sea Shtokman gas development is expected by September, once the tender process is complete for both the onand offshore elements, Alexei Zagorovsky, head of project operator Shtokman Development AG (SDAG), said Tuesday. He said SDAG will then submit the estimate to the government before holding final talks on the tax regime. He confirmed that a single final investment decision for the pipeline gas and LNG parts of the project is expected in December (IOD Apr.15,p7).
