A US appeals court has reversed an or-der freezing enforcement outside ofEcuador of an $18 billion damages awardagainst Chevron over pollution in theAmazon rain forest.The order, issued by the 2nd US CircuitCourt of Appeals in New York on Monday, isthe latest reversal in an 18-year legal battlethat has gone all the way to international ar-bitrators in Europe, who have also sought toblock enforcement of the judgment.
