Italy's Eni Starts Production Off Alaska

Italy's Eni has begun oil production from the Nikaitchuq oil field, located in state wa- ters offshore Alaska's North Slope. Eni said the field will ultimately ramp up to peak production of 28,000 barrels per day and holds estimated recoverable reserves of 220 million bbl of oil. Its expected produc- tion life-span is 30 years.
