US Senators Introduce Iran Bill

A bipartisan group of US Senators has introduced tough new sanctions in response to Iran's ongoing nuclear activities. Like its companion legislation in the House introduced earlier this month, the Iran, North Korea and Syria Sanctions Consolidation Act of 2011, would single out Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and target the country's oil and gas exports. It is co-sponsored by Senators Robert Menendez, Joseph Lieberman, Jon Kyl and Mark Kirk.
