Kuwait Surplus Exceeds $15B

Kuwait has received a windfall of more than 4 billon dinars ($14.45 billion), thanks to strong oil prices during its 2010/11 fiscal year, which ended last month. This was despite the government appropriating an unplanned 1.1 billion dinars to provide cash payments for its citizens in February, the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) said last week.
