In what will come as a blow to investors, Nigeria has reportedly said it will take control of all four onshore Niger Delta licenses in which Royal Dutch Shell is selling interests. Bloomberg on Monday quoted Nigerian National Petroleum Corp. (NNPC) spokesman Levi Ajuonuma as saying that operatorship will be handed to Nigerian Petroleum Development Co. (NPDC), NNPC's upstream subsidiary. "The operatorship is not part of the sale," he said.
