Rosneft Delays Field Start-up

Russian state oil giant Rosneft is again delaying plans to start work at the YurubchenoTokhomskoye field in East Siberia, where it had planned to approve an investment program late last year. The country's biggest oil producer will now take a final investment decision by the end of this year and decide on the infrastructure needed to develop the field, Rosneft department head Ivan Glazunov was quoted as saying. Glazunov said Rosneft has already prepared a field development plan, as well as plans to link it to the East Siberia-Pacific Ocean (Espo) pipeline. But he said financing and the need to build a massive amount of infrastructure mean the field looks unlikely to start up before 2014.
