Japanese Government Evaluates Nuclear Stress Test Reviews

The Japanese government has received stress test results for 11 closed nuclear reactors, most of which the operators are keen to restart before next summer. The Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency (Nisa) is expecting utilities to submit results for another 33 units, excluding the 10 at Tokyo Electric Power’s (Tepco) Fukushima Daiini and Fukushima Daiichi plants that were the most heavily damaged during the earthquake and tsunami last March.
