Mubadala, Wintershall to Work Closely in Mena

Wintershall, the upstream arm of German chemicals giant BASF, and Abu Dhabi's state Mubadala have agreed to work together in assessing future opportunities in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena), combining technology know-how and experience in North Africa from Wintershall with Mubadala's capabilities to identify and execute upstream projects that can be pursued in partnership. "We view our cooperation as a strong basis for further expanding our activities in the Mena region," said Wintershall Chief Executive Rainer Seele during a visit to Abu Dhabi.
