Premier, Falklands Explorers Plan 2015 Drilling Campaign

Premier Oil has signed a rig agreement targeting at least four wells within and around the Greater Sea Lion field in the South American North Falkland Basin. The UK independent is also expected to reach a final investment decision on the development of the 321 million barrel Sea Lion oil discovery located in the Falkands next year (IOD Jan.17'14). Under a sharing agreement, the drilling rig contracted by Premier for the four wells will also be used by US-based Noble Energy on two more wells in the South and East Falkland Basin. Premier is targeting estimated gross prospective resources of 700 million barrels of oil equivalent.
