Foresight given extra time to pay interest

Illinois basin coal producer Foresight Energy's lenders have given the company an additional 60 days to pay interest on some of its notes. A majority of note holders of its 11.5pc second-lien secured note agreed to amend their indenture agreement to extend the interest payment grace period to 90 days from 30 days, according to a filing Foresight made with the US Securities and Exchange Commission today.
