The synthesis of large multicomponent spheroid cage structures that offer the possibility of encapsulating numerous molecules is an important theme in Supramolecular chemistry.Strategies developed in their construction have mainly relied on self-assembly by means of multiple hydrogen bondsor metal-ligand coordination.
