Gold-Catalyzed Intermolecular Addition of Carbonyl Compounds to 1,6-Enynes

Isomerization reactions of 1,6-enynes are catalyzed by complexes of many transition metals and have led to numerous useful and interesting innovations in organic synthesis.Herein we report a novel gold-catalyzed intermolecular addition of carbonyl compounds to 1,6-enynes I to form 2-oxabicyclo[3.1.0]hexanes of type II (Scheme 1).
