This important book makes a timely appearance.The design and characterization of host-guest composites is a relatively new field of research,which has already attracted the attention of many scientists and technologists.Furthermore,one can begin to see the benefits to be gained in such areas as molecular engineering and nanotechnology.Thus,by the inclusion of molecular or nano-scaled guests in a well-defined porous matrix,it is possible to generate novel properties.
