There is a continuing search for efficient and robust catalysts that can perform monooxygenation of organic compounds.High-valent metal-oxo porphyrin species constitute such an important family.The members of this family are analogous to the principal and potent oxidant of enzymes such as cytochrome P450 (CP450,1;Figure 1).Over the last two decades it has been gradually recognized that some transition-metal-substituted polyoxometalates (POMs) have intriguing properties as oxygenation catalysts.
