The landomycins 1-4 produced by Streptomyces cyanogenus S-136 and S. globisporus 1912 are angucycline antibiotics with a strong activity against various cancer cell lines, in particular against prostate cancer cell lines.[1]-[6] The landomycins are closely related to the urdamycins (e.g., urdamycin A (5)).
