U.S. imports of cold-rolled sheet from Brazil, China, India and Russia are facing preliminary countervailing duties, while South Korean shipments have been spared, the U.S. Commerce Department said Dec. 16.Brazilian producers have been assessed subsidy margins of 7.42 percent, Chinese producers a whopping 227.29 percent, Indian producers 4.45 percent and Russian producers, except for OAO Severstal and affiliates, 6.33 percent. Korean producers were assessed de minimis margins of less than 1 percent and so face no duties.
