Mexico's automotive sector continues to outperform expectations and is on track to nearly double production in the next few years, benefiting U.S. flat-rolled producers and suppliers."There is real opportunity here because Mexico is going to double the amount of cars it produces. There were 3.2 million units produced in 2014 and will be 5 million by 2020 based on investments that are announced or in place," Ryan Thrasher, director of Mexico operations for OmniSource Scrap Metal Management of Mexico, told AMM.
