S. Korea’s Hyundai Steel to merge with Hyundai Hysco

Hyundai Steel Co., South Korea’s second-largest steelmaker, plans to merge with sister company Hyun?dai Hysco Co. to increase operational efficiency and gain from synergy effects, the company said April 8. The merger is expected to be completed by July 1, the com?pany said in a filing with the Korea Exchange, after which Hyundai Hysco will no longer exist as a separate company.
