Alcoa Inc. has won a contract to supply Lockheed Martin Corp. with titanium components for the aircraft manufacturer's F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter program, ahead of accelerated production through the mid-2020s."We are expanding Alcoa's range of multi-material offerings for this program while helping Lockheed meet aggressive weight, range and fuel efficiency targets," Alcoa chairman and chief executive officer Klaus Kleinfeld said in a statement Oct. 7.
