Brazilian steel group revises 2015 forecasts

Brazil steel industry forecasts for 2015 have again been revised downward due to the country’s weakening economy. Brazilian steel institute IABr expects apparent steel consumption to reach 22.3 million tonnes this year, down from its April estimate of 22.7 million tonnes and 9.3 percent below 24.6 million tonnes in 2014.
