Cisplatin is a widely used chemotherapeutic agent for treating solid tumors. However, the application of cisplatin has many side effects, including nephrotoxicity, ototoxicity, nausea and vomiting, and neurotoxicity. Nephrotoxicity occurs in approximately one-third of patients after a single dose of therapy of cisplatin (50-100 mg/m2), and nephrotoxicity can result in acute kidney injury (AKI), which is characterized by high morbidity and high mortality (25, 26). A large number of studies have confirmed that AKI is an important risk factor for the occurrence and progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD) (2). Currently, there is no satisfactory treatment for AKI, including cisplatin nephrotoxicity.
