Isoquinolines are an important class of alkaloids commonly found in natural products.Their biological activities have resulted in them often being used as building blocks in pharmaceutical compounds,as chiral ligands for transition metal catalysts,and their iridium complexes in organic light emitting diodes(OLEDs).
