The CCI is the final jurisdiction to grant anti-trust clearance needed to satisfy regulatory conditions for closing the purchase, FMC says. FMC signed a “definitive agreement” on March 31st to acquire a portion of DuPont's crop protection business that it needed to divest in order to comply with the European Commission requirements to approve its merger with Dow AgroSciences parent company Dow Chemical. FMC will acquire DuPont's global chewing pest insecticide portfolio, including chlorantraniliprole (trade-marked as Rynaxypyr), cyantraniliprole (trade-marked as Cyazypyr), its global cereal broadleaf herbicides, and substantially all of DuPont's global crop protection R&D capabilities.
