The USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has deregulated Bayer’s Crop Science division’s genetically modified herbicide-tolerant GHB811 cotton. The USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has deregulated Bayer’s Crop Science division’s genetically modified herbicide-tolerant GHB811 cotton. The APHIS proposed the move last month. The cotton is tolerant to glyphosate and hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD) herbicides such as isoxaflutole.
