摘要

European Ombudsman Emily O’Reilly has rejected a complaint over the way the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) responded to concerns about its hazard assessment of the herbicide, glyphosate. European Ombudsman Emily O’Reilly has rejected a complaint over the way the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) responded to concerns about its hazard assessment of the herbicide, glyphosate. The complainant, a UK national, was dissatisfied with the ECHA’s replies, but Ms O’Reilly concludes that there was no maladministration by the Agency. She notes that the complainant did not raise his concerns during the ECHA’s public consultation on glyphosate, and points out that “there are limits” to how institutions can take account of concerns raised after a consultation has finished.
