Chinese import approval for Dabeinong’s GM soybeans

The Chinese Ministry of Agriculture has approved the import of Chinese agricultural technology company Beijing Dabeinong Technology Group’s genetically modified herbicide-tolerant (DBN-09004-6) soybeans. The soybeans are tolerant to glyphosate and glufosinate. This is the first time China has approved the import of GM soybeans developed by a domestic company, it says. The country does not yet allow the commercial cultivation of GM soybeans and maize.
