Prosperity of a nation depends on the Status and development of its women more, as women not only constitute nearly one third of its human resource population but also influence the growth of remaining two third (men and children) of the human resource. This realization has been proved during the era of cattle and agrarian culture developments. The status of India women has under gone drastic changes from era to era. Role of women has been visualized passive by Manu during the post-vedic period. Dualstatus of women (living, luggage) remained unaltered in our society for many decades. Just after independence, industrialization started across the country. This change also created ample employment opportunities for mostly educated women of urban areasin the country. On account of this, urban women could achieve gainful employment by the virtue of trained skills coupled with tough continuous self-efforts.
