Graphical abstract Novel heterogeneous photo-Fenton catalyst was fabricated on the acrylic acid grafted PTFE fiber through a layer-by-layer self-assembly process with poly diallyldimethyl ammonium choloride (PDDA) and poly styrene sulfonate (PSS) and subsequent Fe3+ ion coordination, and significantly enhanced the degradation of organic dye in water under visible irradiation.
