Atlantic metallurgical coal markets appeared to be slowing down Monday in fresh trade and activity ahead of the year-end holiday break, with some Q1 deals and offers reported into Europe and Turkey. A report Friday of conclusion in a Q1 loading high-vol coal — with specifications the Northwest Europe buyer considered to be a typical high-vol B — could not be confirmed widely.
