Atlantic thermal coal markets face mixed week on limited spot demand

London—Atlantic thermal coal markets had a mixed week with the impact of further supply reductions in Colombia looking to support prices; however, with prompt demand still lacking across most of the basin there was limited price impact in the week ending Sep 4. CIF ARA physical 6,000 kcal/kg NAR prices were mostly rangebound throughout the week, trending between $50.55-$51.80/ mt, with demand for prompt cargoes in Northwest Europe heard minimal, particularly with below-average temperatures in the region.
