Houston—Bids and offers were heard for the third straight day for Powder River Basin and Central Appalachia coal, but no trades were reported in Wednesday’s US over-the-counter thermal coal market. On Wednesday, a broker reported an offer for 12,500 Btu/lb Central Appalachia rail (CSX) coal at $74.50/st for March and April deliveries, down 25 cents from Tuesday offers.
