Turkish petcoke prices saw “no shock change” over the week as buying interest remained short within the Mediterranean markets, sources said Wednesday. “[The] market is flattening,” a European trader said as prices remained relatively flat on week. A Mediterranean-based trader agreed. “There’s been a declining trend,” the trader said, referring to prices over the past year. Prices have sharply declined since the same period last year when S&P Global Platts assessed the CIF Turkey 5% sulfur petcoke market at $102/mt, 45% higher than Wednesday’s price.
