摘要

We have examined the electric, optical, and thermal properties of C-60 films before and after electron-beam (EB: an incident energy of 3 keV) irradiation by inducing a variety of cross-linked structures between adjacent C-60 molecules via the general Stone-Wales transformation, and demonstrated that those properties can be controlled by EB-irradiation time: the resistivity rho is continuously changed by 10(-6) times and optical absorbance of C-60 film increases in a range of 350-850 nm when compared to that of pristine C-60 film, and the heat-resistance becomes higher that is comparable to that of polyimide film commercially available as the highest heat-resistance organic material.
