摘要

Here, the complex formation among anionic surface active ionic liquid (SAIL) 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium dodecylbenzenesulfonate [C(4)mim][DBS] and non-ionic polymer polyvinylpyrollidone (PVP) in aqueous solution has been studied. An attempt has been made to study the interactions in bulk and at interface via different techniques such as tensiometry, conductivity, dynamic light scattering (DLS) and nephelometric turbidity. From tensiometric measurements, some important surface parameters have been derived. From conductometric measurements, different thermodynamic parameters have been calculated and interpreted in terms of physicochemical interactions prevailing into the system. The aggregate formation has been tracked with DLS and nephelometric turbidity to understand the complexation dynamics.
