BASF names Brudermuller as next CEO

Martin Brudermuller, 56, currently vice chairman of the BASF executive board, will succeed Kurt Bock as executive chairman, efective after the company's shareholder meeting on 4 May 2018. Bock, 59, has been BASF's executive chairman since 2011 and a member of the executive board since 2003. Bock is expected to be named BASF's supervisory board member and chair in 2020 after the end of a statutory two-year cooling-of period.
