Coromandel acquires E.I.D. Parry's biopesticides business, US subsidiary

Coromandel International (Telangana, India) has announced that its board of directors has approved the acquisition of the biopesticides business of E.I.D. Parry (Chennai) and its US-based, wholly owned subsidiary Parry America Inc. (Arlington, Texas). The transaction is valued at 3.38 billion Indian rupees ($52.8 million) and is projected to be completed by April 2018, Coromandel says. E.I.D. Parry is a major player in the sugar industry with interests in the areas of biopesticides and nutraceuticals.
