Indorama Ventures to acquire Artlant PTA assets in Portugal

Indorama Ventures (IVL; Bangkok), said on Thursday that it will acquire the assets of Artlant PTA (Sines, Portugal), including all equipment, surface rights and employment contracts. Artlant operates a 700,000-metric tons/year purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant at the Sines industrial complex in Portugal. The acquisition will add substantial scale and enhances IVL's PTA leadership in Europe, the company says.
