Sinopec settles September contracts for p-xylene, PTA, EG

Sinopec has settled its September para-xylene (p-xylene) contract price at 6,550 renminbi/metric ton, down 30 renminbi from August. This is equivalent to $832/metric ton on an import-parity basis and is $12 higher than the September Asia contract price settlement. In the spot market, the average September price to date is $842/metric ton CFR China, according to IHS Chemical data.
