M&G's Texas PET-PTA plant to be fully operational by mid-2017

M&G Chemicals (Luxembourg), a subsidiary of Mossi Ghisolfi Group (M&G; Tortona, Italy), says it expects its polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plant at the Port of Corpus Christi, Texas, to be fully operational by mid-2017. The facility will produce 1.1 million metric tons/year (MMt/y) of PET resin, M&G says. The general contractor for the project, Chemtex (Wilmington, North Carolina), has hired Bay Ltd.
