DSM and Evonik Industries on Wednesday announced plans to form an equally owned joint venture (JV), Veramaris, to produce omega-3 fatty acids from natural marine algae for animal nutrition. This will be the frst time that omega-3 fatty acids for animal nutrition are made with- out the use of fsh oil from wild caught fsh, which is a fnite resource.
